About the Election
Taiwanese voters will head to the polls on November 26 to elect mayors, city councilors, county lawmakers and borough chiefs throughout the country. Taiwanese nationals will also be voting on a constitutional amendment to lower the voting age from 20 to 18. The results of the local elections are likely to affect the presidential and legislative elections in 2024.
